Chefs Move to Irving Park Elementary to celebrate Orange!

First Graders at Irving Park Elementary were treated to a delicious butternut squash soup in January by the traveling Chef's Move to Schools group from the Culinary program at GTCC.

The chefs visit Irving park Elementary every month focusing on a different one of the five colors of healthy fruits and vegetables.

Students enjoyed seeing the culinary students whipping up some of the ingredients that went in to this heart healthy soup.

Just look at all of the yummy veggies the students get to learn about and enjoy first-hand!

Keith Gardener, Director of the Chefs Move to School programs encourages everyone who is interested in a visit by the group to their school to contact him at: kegardiner@gtcc.edu
